Squeals, Sun, Spongebob & Sno Cones

This week we made our trip to Kings Island (amusement park for those who don't know what it is) We started out early, which was not fun for me since I didn't get home till late from playing softball....yes playing softball..and I might add that I was pretty good hahaha...but that's another story in itself. We go to the park and thankfully didn't have to stand in line to get tickets thanks to my wonderful idea of buying our tickets online. First thing that we do is the kids spot Spongebob...They were thrilled!!! I was shocked that they ran right to him and hugged and kissed him. And they didn't want to leave him. Logan cried and threw a fit because he wanted "Bob Bob" We finally made our way to the kids rides. We did every ride that the kids were tall enough to ride. Madison was defiantly fearless of all the rides. We tried out the little roller coaster, logan wasn't tall enough. I was a little worried. Madison and I climbed in and I told her to put her hands up. We went down the first hill and she screamed but kept her hands up the WHOLE ride. As soon as we got off she wanted to go right back in line and go again. We bought the picture they took of us while on the ride so we could show Daddy when he gets home. Another big hit was Bikini Bottom. A water thing that the kids could run through. I got Abby's bathing suit on and went with the kids. And we got drenched. It almost drowned poor Logan. But Madison loved it. I wasn't going through again, so Logan and I sat in the shade while she ran through for at least an hour.
After pizza for lunch and lots of drinks. Logan was tired and really needed a nap, but refused to lay down in the wagon and sleep. So we decided to take the big train ride through the park to cool off and hoping Logan would fall asleep. It worked one loop on the tracks and he was sound asleep. So we layed him in the wagon and I took Madison on some rides alone while he stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. Madison and I went off to ride some rides just the two of us. She had so much fun! I was dying of thirst because it was so hot and humid, I wanted a drink and she wanted ice cream. Well since I left my purse with Grandma all I had was $5 and that doesn't buy you anything there. So we compromised and got a another strawberry sno cone for the day. It was so good!!
We went and found everyone. I think we were all done for the day and ready to go, so we called it quits and started to pack up to go home. It was a long long hot day but a lot of fun. Now I know the kids will love Disney World when we go. So I'm even more excited about making our trip there when Daddy gets home!!!

Enjoying our weather

The weather here has been amazing...not super hot, perfect sunny days. So as much as I don't like being outside I've decided to get the kids out and enjoy this weather, since they both love being ouside so much. They must have gotten that from James. Madison has been driving around in her car she got for her birthday. And yes she is getting better at driving it, its just taking practice. She takes Logan around on rides. Rhyen loves going as well when they come to visit. Madison will drive and Rhyen will sit on Logan's lap as he puts his arms around her to hold on. So cute but I haven't gotten a good picture of it yet. We've also been doing a lot of swimming at Grandma and Grandpas pond. Thankfully its a nice clean pond, or I wouldn't be caught dead in there. But when I thought about it its no different than swimming in the ocean and I would do that. anyways Madison has been loving going down there and "swimming" around. I was making her wear a life jacket, but she is good and stays where its shallow. Logan on the other hand...HAS to wear his. He would be the one to run off the edge of the dock and jump in. He pretty much just plays in the sand and now grabs handfuls of sand and throws it back in the pond. Kept him entertained for a long long time for some reason.
Clint's family came down today....but we didn't get to swim even though that was the plan. Logan and Madison love their cousins Rhyen and Aubrey. Watching Logan and Rhyen together is so funny. He tries to take care of her and be easy with her even though she is a week older than him. But they had a great time running around Grandmas.
The countdown is on for James. We have a date, but I'm actually not giving it out yet, because it can always change as it has 4 times already. But hopefully this is final and it won't be too much longer. I really really need to start packing to go home or its never going to get done.....and sorry about no pictures I've been trying and they won't upload and I'm tired of trying...maybe I'll try tomorrow :(

I'm starting to think that maybe Allison was right...I should do this scrap booking thing for a living. Tomorrow I'm spending the day making another scrapbook as a gift....oh fun fun. But I'm getting a day of shopping without the kids on Friday for helping so I think its all worth it.

It's just now starting to really hit me that it won't be long will James is here. I've already gotten Madison an adorable skirt that she is going to wear when we pick up Daddy. (I think she will wear it for 4th of July as well considering how much I paid for it) Looking back now the past 6 months have gone pretty fast. Now if only the last part of this deployment will go as quick. I'm so looking forward to getting some good quality time alone with James when he gets back. We didn't exactly get that before he left....thanks to my wonderful gallbladder problems. The week before he left we went away for a getaway alone. One day into it I ended up in the hospital all night. Came back home and got sent to OSU for another procedure to remove a loose stone that got out before they took my gallbladder out. So thats where we spent our last few days together. In the hospital...at least it was kid free time LOL. I got out of the hospital, the next day we drove to TN and James left that next day. So needless to say it wasn't much fun. Which is making this homecoming even more exciting. I know everyone is anxious to know when he gets here...and I will make sure you all know once he is...and I'll make sure you know if we are in Ohio or Tennessee (thats for you Aunt Kathy!! :)

Our Weekend

Wow what a busy weekend.....I started a scrapbook for Abby's graduation party Friday night got up again Saturday morning to finish it and it took all day to do...she better cherish it forever!! Abby's party was fun...got to spend time with family we don't get to see near enough...it was nice. the kids had a blast at the pond, but I was worried the whole time. They slept good that night. Poor Kelly and Kaitlyn chased them around a lot too. Yesterday we had Abbys graduation. So strange that she is out of school now. Kelly is the last one. What is mom going to do when she is gone too??? Then we all came back here for burgers and hot dogs on the grill. I think I ate about 10 of Grandma's cut out cookies. you can never get enough of those. It was a good weekend with a lot going on. Definately wore us out!

The start of it all....

James and I started dating ironically on his first deployment to Iraq. Although if you ask him he tried for a year to get together with me but I kept turning him down. Guess it all worked out in the end. :) A few months after he came home after being there for a year, we got engaged, April 8th, 2004. We were married on July 2nd, 2005. What a fun wedding, many great stories came out of that night at the after party at Woodys. A few months later...surprise...we were pregnant. I cried and James went to work and told everyone and called me and said we were all going out to dinner to celebrate. By then the shock had worn off and we were both excited!! Madison Alexis was born May 19th, 2006. She was stubborn and resulted in an emergency c-section after almost 12 hours of labor. She was healthy and gorgeous. 7lbs 9oz 19inches. She is Daddy's little girl. I think she has Daddy wrapped around her finger and will always have the key to his heart. She loves her little brother, likes to help clean, and is bossy and in charge. When Madison was about 5 months old....we decided we wanted to try for another. Logan James was born on August 13th, 2007. We weren't planning on another c-section, but he was way past his due date and after talking it over decided on a c-section. And thankfully we did. He was 9lbs 12oz 20inches. A big boy from the day he was born. He is a Mommy's boy for sure and always a sweetheart. He's rough and tough, and a good thing because Madison tends to beat up on him and he has to just take it. Even though he weighs more than her by a pound.
We have a lot of plans coming up in the next year or so....lots to do and exciting things coming up!!
